Pathways Children's School serves students who have various neurophysiological disorders, which affect their physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. This impacts their ability to move, learn, and communicate in the same way as their typically developing peers. The curriculum is be highly individualized and tailored to each students' learning needs which include but are not limited to: learning style, learning rate, and access. Through highly differentiated and individualized education, Pathways School offers a transdisciplinary curriculum that includes: individualized or small group instruction, conductive education and integrated related services. Students will be able to access the curriculum by increasing executive functioning skill capacity, improving sensory integration and processing, via providing neurophysiological and neuromuscular training (including CE) and incorporating adaptive devices/adaptive equipment (including AAC).
We are committed to the learning of students with very high needs in most or all need areas, including academic, social and/or interpersonal development, physical development and management. Via the application of a high degree of individualized attention and intervention, very intense individual programming, continual adult supervision, and a program of physical, occupational and speech/language therapy, it is our mission to enable this under-served community to access the information and experience that will enable them to both understand and interact with their world.
At Pathways Children's School, we approach each child as an individual with their own talents and one-of-a-kind needs. Our goal is to help your student meet the learning benchmarks for their grade.
